I joined the Bank last July as a Senior Risk analyst in the Risk Team and recently moved to the Finance Team to take the role of Financial Risk Manager.
My responsibilities include monthly forecasting of Expected Credit Loss (ECL) for the Bank’s portfolio and analysing diverse risk factors and financial data to provide accurate estimates that shape our credit risk management strategies.
Beyond my role at the Bank, I also serve as a non-executive director at Plane Saver Credit Union and volunteer to teach econometrics and statistics to students who cannot afford private lessons.
I am originally from Albania but grew up in Greece, where I lived for approximately 25 years and gained extensive experience in the banking industry. My career focused on credit risk management across various departments, providing me with a strong foundation in financial analysis and risk assessment.
In 2018, I moved to the UK to pursue further academic and professional development. I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master's degree in Applied Statistics. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Finance at the University of West London. My journey reflects a commitment to addressing financial inequalities, and I aim to use my expertise in finance and risk management to drive meaningful change in the field.
My previous experience has provided me with a strong foundation in credit risk management and financial analysis, while my academic background has sharpened my analytical skills. Together, these have greatly benefitted me in my role at the Bank.
I take pride in my strong work ethic and dedication to consistently delivering high-quality results. One of my proudest achievements since joining has been my contribution to improving our credit risk assessment models through the application of statistical techniques and data analysis. This work has enhanced the accuracy of our risk forecasting.
One of the main aspects that drew me to the Bank was its strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. I value this dedication to creating an inclusive workplace, as I firmly believe that diverse perspectives foster better decision-making and drive innovation. In fact, I believe the Bank’s success is largely rooted in its exceptional people. Each team member brings unique skills and perspectives, creating a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. I am thrilled to be part of the Bank's ongoing success story and look forward to contributing to its continued growth and achievements.
