At Al Rayan Bank we recognise how important it is for our customers to bank with us online, quickly, conveniently and securely.
You have indicated that you are not able to access our Mobile Banking app through a compatible smartphone and have requested a hard token to ensure that you have secure two-factor authorisation to access your accounts.
Instructions on how to activate your Mobile Banking hard token
- You will need to register for Mobile Banking and activate your hard token before you can access your accounts online. To do this, please follow the following steps:
- Enter your name, date of birth and security information to validate your identity, this must match the information you provided when you first opened your account with Al Rayan Bank. If you are unsure of this, please contact us on 0800 4086 407. Once complete, we will send a six-digit one-time passcode to the mobile phone number we have registered on your account. Enter the six-digit number into the portal and click ‘next’
- If you’ve not already set up your username and PIN for Mobile Banking, you will now be asked to do so. It’s important that you remember this information as you may be asked to provide it in the future
- A Cronto image (similar to a QR code) will appear on screen; turn on your hard token and scan this image.
- The next step is to create a PIN for your hard token. This PIN will always be required for future login for your hard token. Your hard token will display ‘Choose a PIN for this activation’, click continue to choose your PIN
- Your hard token will now present an eleven-number digit, please enter this number into the portal
- A second Cronto image will now appear, please scan this as before.
- After scanning the Cronto image, your hard token will display a code which you must now enter into the portal.
- The hard token will indicate on the screen that the device is activated.
- You will now be logged into the account dashboard and able to access your accounts online.
